SPITALFIELDS | E1
You'd be forgiven for finding Spitalfields Market a little intimidating. Between the hordes and the associated chaos, a visit isn't exactly the most relaxing of activities. But if there was ever a reason to brave it, it's SUD Italia and their fantastic pizzas.
A mobile kitchen van right in the heart of Old Spitalfields Market, these guys make 'wood-fired pizza from the heart of Naples to the streets of London'. And they're arguably some of the best in town.
They're also cheap, with the whole menu under £7, and some as little as £4. Flavours are vast and cover most bases, but it's the 'nduja (spicy sausage) that keeps me coming back; it's the bomb.
Seating is limited to what you can find in the market, but my advice is to grab a pizza and eat on the go as you're transported into your own little carbohydrate world, amid all the craziness of this iconic London institution.
