LONDON BRIDGE | SE1
Velo prides itself on churning out healthy Vietnamese street food with fresh summer rolls, plenty of shredded vegetables, and tasty salad options. It's a great spot for a solid meal - quick and tasty.
As well as the traditional method of queuing to order and pay to a member of staff, they also have an on-screen self ordering system, which helps get the food out of the kitchen and into the numerous hungry hands much quicker.
This is the sort of place where almost all items are within our £8 budget, which means you can keep returning to work through the menu. But on this occasion, I went for their 'vermicelli or rice' section, choosing the latter, and opting for a protein of lemongrass roast pork (large £6.80 take away, £7.90 eat in). Served with crispy lettuce, fresh herbs, crushed peanuts, a homemade chilli sauce, as well as a crispy spring roll.
Velo is bright and airy, with both bar and communal table seating. They also have a few gluten free, halal and vegan options on their menu, if you need them.
