About three years ago I started to really get into London's food scene, specifically the street food scene. It was around this time I had my first taste of The Bell & Brisket and the love affair has been going strong ever since.

Fast forward to the present day and Bel - the brains behind some of the best salt beef you'll taste in London - has turned her iconic green trailer into a permanent site as she embarks on an indefinite residency at The Barley Mow pub in Shoreditch.

Their beef is British brisket, hand brined in north London. The crunchy pickles are from Vadasz Deli. Combine with tangy mustard and blow torched cheddar and you having the makings of something pretty special.

My pick of the bunch is The Duke bagel. Packed with Monterey Jack cheese, sour cream and a beautiful chipotle tomato sauce, it's everything you wish for in a salt beef bagel. Hit it.
