KERB CAMDEN | NW1
If you like your steak, you probably don't need to read any further; pink British steak, crispy rosemary-salted fries, £8. Done!
But if you're still here... STAKEhaus trades 7 days a week at the mighty KERB in Camden, as well as popping up at a couple of other KERB spots, like the Gherkin and West India Quay (keep tabs on their social media for up to date info on their ad hoc locations).
I went for 'The Classic One': 5oz of steak, hand-cut rosemary fries, with a homemade sauce. The steak was seasoned perfectly, with good flavour from the sear, making it a steal for the price. The fries were crisp and moreish, soaking up the juices from the meat. I had mine with their secret green sauce (spoiler: delicious), with other saucy options on rotation, such as an intriguing kimchi butter. The heavy-handed mayo and mustard was optional.
If you find an extra pound on the floor, be sure to add an egg, or upgrade to courgette fries instead of potato.
