A favourite amongst the city slickers after authentic Vietnamese flavours, this quaint café tucked away down a narrow lane in the middle of The City serves up tasty classics to fast-moving queues of suits snaking out the door at lunch.

The menu is tight and to the point: spicy lemongrass noodle soups (bun hue), classic pho noodle soup, Vietnamese baguettes (banh mi), vermicelli salad or jasmine rice, and fresh and vibrant spring rolls - they all come with different choice of protein, including pork, chicken, beef, tofu, and prawn.

All are sub £8, but we went for a gutsy pot of beef bun hue noodles, with a spicy lemongrass broth and crunchy greens.

The canteen-like setting has a few tables and red stools should you wish to hang around, but the limited seating means many take their goods away to enjoy elsewhere.
