KERB WEST INDIA QUAY E14 | KERB KING'S CROSS N1
Sandwiches are often not quite enough to satiate a big appetite. But a clubhouse sandwich with three layers, smoked bacon, peppered chicken, Swiss cheese, pesto mayo, tomato chutney, AND a fried egg? Yeah, good luck finishing this one.
KERB traders Project Sandwich have been serving up sandwiches on their never ending quest for the best thing since sliced bread, and they're doing a pretty good job.
Their mainstay is the El Jefe (a play on the Cubano), but the Saratoga Clubhouse was so popular they had to bring it back after an uproar from their regulars.
It's a monstrous size, with all the different parts working together in heavenly sandwich union. The bacon and chicken are well balanced with the pesto and cheese, toasted bread and lettuce adds crunch, and the gooey fried egg brings indulgence that will make you weak at the knees and full in the stomach.
As they're part of the Kerb group, their location varies depending week on week, but they're definitely worth tracking on social media to see where they'll be popping up next. I'd recommend going for their meal deal which adds patatas bravas and a drink for an extra £3, and then splitting the whole thing with a friend.
