SOHO | W1
Honi Poke serves zingy and fresh Hawaiian poke, with a twist, from Soho's Dean Street - perfect for glorious summer days in central London.
The menu was put together by a chef hailing from a Michelin-starred restaurant, so the poke comes in clever combinations, and tastes incredible.
I went for the salmon 'Honi Poke' on sticky sushi rice for £7.90. To mix with the base raw fish and rice, comes a mind-blowing combo of: salty mango, sunomono cucumber, nori seaweed, kimchi, chive, crispy onion, and chili garlic sauce.
Their ahi poke bowl (from £7.90) features ingredients like fennel, panko and avocado, while their veg tofu poke (£6.30) comes with enoki mushrooms, edamame and ginger soy sauce. If you feel creative, you can always build your own too.
Alternative bases include brown rice, vegetable noodles or mix leaf salad. Fish wise, you can go for tuna or a mix of salmon and tuna, for just a few pennies over our £8 mark. Note: there are a handful of tables inside.
