BRIXTON | SW9
Brixton Village is full of wonderful and international places to eat, many of which are very affordable (e.g. Elephant, Franco Manca, Wings & Tings). Okan is another winner, a Japanese eatery serving up Osaka-style street food.
They specialise in okonomiyaki, a traditional savoury pancake that comes covered in mayo, brown sauce, and both seaweed and bonito flakes. Filthy and delicious.
For £7.50, you can get a generous amount of thinly sliced pork belly or lean beef tucked underneath; they also have a vegetarian option with cheese and sweetcorn for the same price. I'd also highly recommend the thick yaki udon with sliced beef - also £7.50 - a moreish plate of comforting noodles with just the right amount of ginger.
