Everything’s getting a makeover these days, even the humble baked potato. Forget about your tinned beans and pre-grated cheese, The Potato Project is elevating the art of baked spuds to a new level. With toppings including pulled BBQ duck; Thai chicken; moussaka; autumn wild mushrooms and spinach with blue cheese and truffle oil, these guys are revamping this humble dish into something new.
With all items on the menu under £8, we went for the sweet potato topped with the vegan Mexican inspired bean and salsa. A generous portion, the filling was packed with flavour and guacamole and left us more than pleased with our lunch.
You can build your own potato from £4.20 (just with butter) plus toppings, and if you keep this under £5.40, you can add one of their sides for £2.60 and stay under our magic £8 mark. Both their root veg slaw with tofunaise, and their sweet potato hummus with pear, sound tasty.
As the Autumn and winter months roll in, these guys are perfect for a warm and comforting meal to keep you going.
