Black Axe Mangal is a rowdy little spot for mangal meat and filthy flat breads from Chef Lee Tiernan (ex-St.John Bread and Wine).
The concept was born in the back of a Copenhagen night club in the summer of 2015 before Lee brought it over to London.
If you don't mind being bumped in to, grab a spot in front of the ridiculous Kiss oven, and order some of their Tartine Bakery-influenced flat breads.
The pick of the bunch for me is the glorious lamb offal flat bread, though it might be too spicy for some. A gooey welsh rarebit is a close second, and you can't really go wrong with the plain or garlic either. The bread is of the highest quality, and the atmosphere is great fun. Enjoy!
