SOHO | W1D
Mee Market is a Korean deli in Soho, serving cheap comforts to a backdrop of K-pop, kimchi fried rice, BBQd meats, fried chicken and warming stews.
I went for the 'Mee Bowl' at £6.90 - spicy curry, black bean sauce, kimchi fried rice, and added on fried chicken for an another £1. As you'd expect, this was a complete flavour bomb - sweet, salty and sour/spicy from the kimchi. This is a filling dinner, or a very hearty lunch.
Other options include the Bee Bowl (bibimbap) or the Soup Bowl (kimchi and pork stew, soft tofu and mixed seafood stew, or black bean sauce noodles). Both with the option of BBQ or fried chicken for an extra £1.
With the leftover change, you can pick up Korean deli snacks, cooking ingredients and some super beautiful kitchenware from the ground floor. Don't forget to grab some free recipe cards on the way out!
Note there's seating downstairs. Mee Market comes from the founder of Koba and On the Bab (another LCE).
