Laurent's Kitchen is a smashing little French street food stall found at two main sites: Swiss Cottage, and Richmond on most Sundays.

Laurent Rossi, the man behind the enterprise, has a background in fine-dining and Michelin-starred restaurants across the world, and waves his little French flag as he preps his gourmet French street food for hungry patrons.

One thing you won't find here are options. One French guy, one French dish, and one English day to get it all sold. Dishes change with the seasons and rotate week to week, but expect classic French cuisine with the joie de vivre of street markets and festivals. I came across him on confit duck day - the joy.

I would eat anything Laurent fed me. The garlic and herb, duck fat-roasted and sautéed potatoes, were a thing of comfort and beauty. The shredded duck was soft and caramelised, and sliced Camembert eventually warmed to hug the contents beneath. I'll be seeing you soon, Laurent!
