CAMBERWELL | SE5
A no-frills falafel joint with great staff (free tasters aplenty), expect the locals to be loyal (new recipes were being discussed) and the food to be fabulous.
For £3.50, you can get a large falafel wrap packed full of goodness that is grill pressed into a more manageable shape. This will fill up most mortals, but you might as well chuck in four stuffed vine leaves or outstanding samosas for £1.50. Or both.
And for £4.50, you can get a generous mixed mezze plate with falafel, stuffed vine leaves, samosas, rice, onions, salad, aubergine, potatoes, and dips! Pretty ridiculous.
Best of all? You can take it all next door to Stormbird, one of the best places to drink beer in all of London. Life hacked.
Note: there is also plenty of seating inside Falafel & Shawarma itself, if you're not up for a pint.
