Opening earlier this year, Jardin du Jasmin is a natural Damascene café offering big portions of fresh and tasty food with a Mediterranean/Middle Eastern vibe.

The create-your-own plate option is available from 12pm until they close at 8pm. You choose your items and add them up as you go.

It's hard to choose from all their authentic and delicious dishes on offer. But I went for well-seasoned and filling lamb koftas (£3.40), tomato bulgar wheat with chickpeas (£2.10) and soft, creamy, smokey aubergine (£2.10) - my plate cam in at £7.60.

Other options included grilled carrot and spicy tahini salad and Syrian pasta with lentils. If you're looking for something on the go, take away boxes are cheaper. The desserts are pretty great as well.

There's nothing quite like it in the area so it can get quite busy at lunch times. The beautiful green interiors with intricate tiling on the floor are an Instagrammers paradise too.
