Cold noodles might not instantly scream delicious, but trust me, these are absolutely incredible. Throw in some seasonal veg and that excellent sesame sauce, and this bowl becomes a highlight from a menu full of gems.Thick and springy, this is as simple as a bowl of rice noodles can get. And sometimes, simplicity really is the best.
Murger Han (Euston) and its newer sibling Murger HanHan (Mayfair) specialise in regional Chinese cuisine, associated with the ancient capital of Xi'an. Even though you might be tempted to go for the eponymous Chinese burgers or murgers (basically, toasted flatbread filled with Chinese pulled pork), I'd recommend opting for their various noodle dishes and soups. These offer great value for money, many of them sitting just above our magic £8 mark.
Chinese restaurants in London are becoming more representative of the huge range of regional cuisine that can be found in this vast country, and the two Murgers are a great examples of this.
