FULHAM | SW6
Good fish and chips aren't that easy to come buy inland, and are often pricey when you do. I don't think I've ever spent less than a tenner on a portion.
Fisher's in Fulham saves the day. Here you'll find very lovely and generous cod and chips with homemade tartare sauce that will set you back just £6.50 - you heard. Truly fantastic value.
It's a deal available from 12pm until 6pm every day, eat in or take away, and the full price is only £8.95 for a regular portion anyway (£10.95 for a large). I'm pretty sure the size given for the lunch deal (pictured) is 'regular', known to the rest of us as big, which means there's little need to go large.
There's a small dining room separate to the take away counter where you can eat in for the same price. It's a quaint spot with a few polka dot-cladded tables, lots of fairy lights, and fab staff.
This place used to be owned by Alan who sold it after many years; the new ownership saw the once good citywide reputation it had dwindle. Alan went and bought the restaurant back around September 2015, and is once again at the fryer doing great things with lovely produce for prices you can't ignore.
