Touting themselves as the best fried chicken restaurant in London, recently launched Chik'n has been hatched by the founders of Chick'n'Sours, positioning themselves as serious players in the fried chicken fast food game.
They're serving sustainable, quality, free-range birds, and cooking them to near crispy perfection, by utilising every lesson they've learnt through their Chick'n'Sours trade. Incredible.
Think Shake Shack but less bovine, with a shed load more poultry, and the same soft and pillowy potato buns.
All the burgers here are moreish. The 'Straight Up Chik'n' with lettuce, buttermilk and herb mayo, and pickles (£4.95) is the signature. But the 'Chik'n Hot' with Sriracha sour cream, lettuce and spicy slaw (£5.95, pictured), with its lovely little chilli kick, is my preferred. If you go for the straight up, you can pair with some wings (£2.45), and stay under our magic £8 mark. And if you're after a tasty dip, such as their hot sauce or more of that Sriracha sour cream, they're only 20p each.
Note: these guys open early for breakfast chicken muffins, and stay open until midnight, every day of the week.
