WHITECROSS STREET MARKET | EC1
Whitecross Street Market (open Mon-Fri lunchtimes) is awash with London Cheap Eats options, from the epic Turkish Gozleme Company wraps to the Katsu chicken boxes. I've just started working in the area a couple of days a week, and I'm systematically eating my way down the road.
One of my favourite finds so far is Bibento, Japanese x Korean traders who serve up large portions of chicken (£6) and beef (£7) on a bed of rice loaded with kimchi, salad and sauce - bibimbap style.
Veggies and vegans are welcome too but you'll rarely catch me with anything other than the sizzling bulgogi beef.
Top tip: the best place to eat your winnings is in Fortune Street Park round the corner. I'd recommend you also pick up some caffeine and a Nutella and banana muffin from the superior Giddy Up Coffee shack afterwards.
