BRIXTON | SW9
Forgive me for sounding like the proud father for a moment, but it's only because I feel as though I have watched Miss P's grow up before my eyes. From a start-up trader in their first few days of business at Kerb Saturday to now, having their very own permanent location in Brixton's newest trendy hangout, Pop Brixton.
Despite the rapid growth, the boys at Miss P's have stayed true to their ethos of doing things the old-fashioned way - slow, low and natural. Nowhere is this truer than in the way they lovingly tend to their beef brisket - rubbed, marinated then placed in a wood smoker and left to cooked until it effortlessly falls apart.
Juicy, rich and flavoursome, it is pure meat porn of the highest quality. You have to try it to believe it. For those not bovine-inclined, their pulled pork or jerk catfish are also awesome and worthy of a visit for. But for me, their signature is the beef brisket. A beauty.
