SPITALFIELDS | E1
A small, independent and specialist café close to Spitalfields Market, everything about this place is dreamy. From the modest yet trendy decor to the menu of honest eats, you can feel the people behind this little City oasis really believe in what they're doing, and are in it for the love.
Their meat comes from an artisan supplier in Devon, their bread from a range of local bakeries, and their fresh produce is picked each morning from the market. And it's the small smokery in their back yard where they produce their Trade pastrami, and a variety of other deli meats.
These guys specialise in all-day breakfasts, brunches, and trademark sandwiches. It's all tasty and filling, especially their grilled chorizo and scrambled eggs, served with chilli sauce on sourdough, for £6.95. And everything else on their menu is under £8 too.
Light and fluffy buttermilk pancakes come in at just £4.95 for a stack of three, and it's £1 extra for either peanut butter, chocolate chips, or blueberry compote toppings. And we're told that from their range of sandwiches, with lovingly prepared fillings in between artisan breads, their Reuben with house made pastrami, Swiss cheese, and secret sauce on rye, is a corker for £7.50.
